Engagements are unlike any other experience. Sentimental, entertaining, sweet, or silly, one thing is certain. Engagements, across the board, in any culture, are cause for celebration. A time to rejoice in the moments leading until up to the big question, and the first step in defining a couple's shared happiness in their future together. Optimism and hope. Courage and faith. The cozy feeling of security, and the peace in knowing you've found your other half. It's beautiful. Brandon proposed to Katie on his birthday, at the party she threw for him! They both light up reliving this evening- moments chock full of happiness and amusement. A selfless beginning- thinking more about the other at all times. A characteristic that will prove to be such a blessing in their marriage.
The farther along our journey into photography goes, the more blessed I feel. We have met some truly incredible people. Clients turned friends. Couples and families allowing us into their most sacred moments and memories; it is such an honor to capture such joy. I'm especially thankful to have crossed paths with Katie and Brandon. They were the first couple to contact us from outside our circle of familiar faces. We met a couple weeks later and hit it off effortlessly! They are both quick to laugh, and suuuper fun to be around. We left feeling like we'd known them for years. For their Engagement Session, we headed down to OSU's campus on an indian summer-like day, and it couldn't have been more fun! They brought along their sweet pooch, Chase, and I can honestly say there wasn't a bad photo in the batch!
Katie and Brandon, enjoy this incredible time. Dream of the future and hold tightly to the past and what brought you to this moment. We cannot wait for your wedding, it's going to be completely gorgeous!
