Ooooh these two. De and Andrew are wonderful friends of ours who are perfectly matched. I mean perfectly. From the very beginning. They met through our other friends, at their wedding a couple years ago. It's a pairing that is just so right, so fun, and so true. Each with bright spirits all their own, coming together simply created and magnified a big ball of hilarious good in the world. They both have a way of lifting people up. Focused, but lighthearted, they are such a blessing to those who cross their path. Without trying. It's just their way, and I could hug them each a trillion times for being the people they are. Andrew proposed on a bike ride, on Deidre's birthday. Her answer was eventually yes, but the first words were, Shut up! And that night, when De's birthday party turned into an engagement celebration, shrieks could be heard as each of her girlfriends arrived and caught glimpse of a left-handed sparkle and a glowing birthday girl.
We stepped outside Andrew's downtown apartment last month to play around in an autumn evening drenched in my favorite yummy, golden light. Not only were they game to try some of my new ideas, they worked it!
De and Andrew, words cannot describe the excitement we have for you. Your wedding day will be ridiculously beautiful, and ridiculously fun. But your life together? That holds the most beauty, because it will inevidably be full of love, and so much happiness. We love you both dearly; congratulations!

Katie! These are FABULOUS! You're growing so much as a photographer and as a photo editor! I'm so proud of you, lady! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThank you lady! You are so sweet, as always. And so encouraging, thank you! I still have a long way to go, but I'm keeping at it! Miss you!
